Biography

Wang Jiecong graduated from Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. He has led one National Natural Science Foundation of China project and participated in multiple key research and development projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology and multiple National Natural Science Foundation of China projects. He has published nearly 20 papers of various types, including more than 10 SCI-indexed papers as first author or corresponding author. He is a member of the Craniomaxillofacial Group and the Digitalization Group of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Rhinoplasty Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetics, and a member of the Expert Group of the Wuhan Plastic and Aesthetic Quality Control Center.

Specializing in facial contour aesthetics, he is skilled in plastic and aesthetic surgery of the craniofacial skeleton and soft tissues:
1. Facial contouring surgery, mandibular angle reduction osteotomy for prominent mandibular angle, reduction osteotomy for prominent zygoma, osteotomy for micrognathia, Medpor chin augmentation, and other aesthetic procedures.
2. Craniofacial skeletal developmental abnormalities; various congenital malformations; correction of post-traumatic facial deformities; cranial defects; orbitozygomatic and nasal bone fractures; mandibular fractures; orthognathic and aesthetic jaw surgery; mandibular prognathism (underbite); maxillary and mandibular protrusion and retrusion; etc.
